MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru is home to millions of
Flamingos who migrate to feed on
Algae on the Lake.It was declared a
National Park because of this fact and
a haven for the bird-life.

TSAVO EAST & WEST NATIONAL PARK
Tsavo East & West National Park is
28,877Sq Km. The park is divided by the Mombasa to Nairobi highway.

- Kenya’s largest National park.
- Is known for it’s man eating Lions dating back into Kenya, Uganda railway construction.
- Mzima Springs is a main attraction.
- Main activities are Game viewing, birdwatching, cave exploration,& hiking.
- Its plains border with Tanzania.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most awesome and prestigious Park. The main attraction in the park is the population of the African Elephants, Lions & Cheetah’s.

- The area 392 Sq Km
- The park lies on the footsteps of Mt. Kilimanjaro providing a magnificent view of the Highest snow peaked mountain in Africa.
- Mount Kilimanjaro provides water to the Park.
- It has 3 major swamps attracting Flamingoes, Pelicans, Zebra’s, Antelope & predators!
- Main features are the Lake Amboseli, Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru.
- Lake Amboseli (West of the Park) is a seasonal Soda Lake.
SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Samburu National Reserve is found in the Northern part of Kenya.The terrain is Hot and Dry with rugged hills making the panorama. The area of the Wildlife Sanctuary is 104 sq km and Managed by Kenya Wildlife Services.

- The terrain is a mixture of wood, swamps & grassland.
- a paradise for animal and birdlife.
- Major attraction is the Buffalo Springs.
- It has 365 species of bird.
- Game viewing is excellent and includes Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, elephant, Somali Ostrich, hippos,crocodile, gerenuk, cheetah, Beisa Oryx, buffalo, lion, leopard and hyena.
- Located North of Equator.
- It’s surrounded by Laikipia National Resort, Shaba National Park, Meru National Park & Mount Kenya National Park.
MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK
Mount Kenya National park lies on Africa’s 2nd highest mountain called Mount Kenya. 
- The area of the National Park is 715 sq km.
- Activities in the park include Mountain climbing, Game viewing, bird watching.
- It’s Heritage is that it’s home of the Supreme Being
“Ngai” for the Kikuyu tribesman.
NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
Nairobi National park is located in the outskirts of the capital city, Nairobi.

Fact-file:
- The area of the National Park is 117 sq km.
- It’s home to the indigenous Black rhinos.
- There is an animal orphanage in the Park.
- Nairobi is the only city in the world which neighbors a natural game protection area, having over 100 species of mammals.
- The park is a seasonal park
- It hosts of humongous game, such as lion, leopard,cheetah, impala, coke's hartebeest (kongoni), eland, Thomson's and Grant gazelle, Maasai giraffe, hippo and buffalo.
- Herds of plains zebra, wildebeest and eland enter the park during the great migration in July and August to enjoy the rich grazing until the next rains come.
- The number of Cheetah’s is increasing
- The Park is also an ideal starting point for bird viewing with over 400 species. |
